ASTROSE for the Harz Energie Netzgesellschaft GmbH

In the Harz foothills and western Harz region, Harz Energie Netz GmbH from Osterode operates a high-voltage grid that is continuously operated with an operating voltage of 110 kV. The entire network supplies 150 localities.

On the Altenau-Braunlage section, Harz Energie is currently using an ice monitoring system to detect ice loads in winter on a section at risk from aneisings. As this system is outdated, it is to be replaced by an ASTROSE system. This will be installed in parallel in the pipeline section and evaluated after one year of pilot operation. After that, the old system will be decommissioned.
