New ASTROSE pilot line
The first full-scale ASTROSE pilot system was launched in September 2014. Two construction teams were able to install 59 ASTROSE sensor nodes in very little time along the 12 km section of the Harzgerode – Rieder overhead line. The sequence of sensor nodes starts at the substation in Rieder and crosses the Harz uplands. On 11 September 2014, the pilot project was officially brought online.
