On 1 August 2017, the ASTROSE Vision research project was launched in a partnership between DResearch Digital Media Systems GmbH, LTB Leitungsbau GmbH, the Technical University of Berlin, and the Fraunhofer Institute for Reliability and Microintegration. Based on the established ASTROSE system, the project researches and trials ways to integrate imagine-processing monitoring concepts into autonomous sensor networks. The intention is to e.g. establish a better control over vegetation near power lines and ensure the complete detection of manipulation and tampering attempts. The project is co-funded by the Federal Government for a period of three years.
